There are a number of services I offer my customers! I am happy to do anything from repairing a guide on your favorite fishing rod, to tuning your duck call, to building you the call or rod of your dreams! Don’t see the service you’re looking for listed below? Don’t hesitate to e-mail me and ask!
Custom Rod Building
I build each custom rod by hand, to your specifications with the best blanks and components available. We can design your rod together, or you can describe for me how you would like your rod to perform and look. By using the best theories on guide placement, weight control and weight distribution I can guarantee your rod will be a comfortable, stable, great-casting and specifically suited to your needs. I can build fly, ultra light, spinning, casting, surf or boat rods.
Prices begin at $150 and vary according to blank and component cost, and the degree to which you want your rod decorated and customized.
Customizations include but are not limited to: Hand-turned wooden reel seat inserts; hand-turned, patterned and carbon fiber grips; feather inlay; single and multiple color weaves; decorative cross wraps; personalized and decorative decals.
Custom Call Building
I can build you a call out of any number of woods, horns, antlers or acrylics. Size and shape are also highly varible and up to you. Your imagination is about the only limitation! All of my calls (except turkey slates, mallard duck and 4-in-1 duck whistles) use high-quality J.C. reeds, so you can depend on a great life-like sound every time. Mallard calls are built Arkansas-style, with a hand cut integral tone board and stopper.
I make calls for many species of animals, including but not limited to: Mallard duck; Wood duck,; 4-in-1 duck whistle; Deer grunt; Turkey slates; Squirrel; Hog squeal; Racoon; Coyote (howl and distressed rabbit).
I am also happy to help you tune and/or trouble shoot calls that you already own.
Premium Wild Furs
These furs are ethically and legally trapped by me in the State of Georgia. Each animal is humanely trapped and dispatched, and very little is wasted. From there, I carefully skin each animal. The hides are then cleaned, preserved and tanned by hand. The end result is a beautiful fur that is suitable for crafting, decorating or clothing.
Hand-swaged Bullets (projectiles only)
I can make projectiles for reloaders in the 45 caliber to 50 caliber family. This includes, but is not limited to 45 Colt, 45/70 Gov't, 475 Linebaugh, 480 Ruger and 500 Smith and Wesson. Theses fine projectiles can be made in various weights and configurations such as jacketed, soft point or all lead construction.
